Professor Alexander Prokhorov receives Rubinstein Award from the Russian Academy of Sciences – Kazan Federal University

The Professor was bestowed the honor for his works on the subject-process approach to psychological development and psychological states.

There are over a dozen books on this topic authored by Prokhorov, as well as multiple grants disbursed to him for research in this area.

“For many years I have been studying the human mental state: how it works, its structure, functions, influence on human behavior, learning, education, development, and also researching how the human state is related to cognitive processes, motivation, character, temperament, and abilities,” says the awardee.

He was nominated by the Institute of Psychology of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

In particular, Dr Prokhorov initiated the opening of the world’s only master’s program on the psychology of human states, and he was at the origins of KFU’s annual conference Psychology of Human States: Theoretical and Applied Problems.

Prokhorov also has the titles of Honorary Professor of KFU, Distinguished Worker of the Higher School of Russia, Commendation of the President of Russia, Vygotsky Medal, Golden Psyche Award, and many others.

Rubinstein Award in Russia’s highest honor in the field of psychology.
